Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection is seeking a Quantity Surveyor-Specialist Joinery in Dungannon to drive pre-contract activities, tendering, and cost control on large-scale joinery projects.

You will estimate, value, and manage post-contract changes, oversee subcontractor payments, and monitor cost performance, ensuring contract compliance and project value optimisation.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of surveying experience in the construction sector.
• Third level qualification in Surveying or related field.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT, and FIDIC contract forms.
• Proven track record in managing contractual claims and disputes.
• Proficiency with Conquest estimating packages and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-contract activities, including take-offs and tender support.
• Assist with estimating and budget setting for projects.
• Manage post-contract activities such as evaluating valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Oversee subcontractor appointments, payments, and insurances.
• Monitor project costs, timelines, and contractual compliance.
• Provide detailed financial reports and advice to management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise project value.
