Novus Property Solutions is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to support tender pricing for social housing refurbishment projects. You will prepare quotations, review supplier and subcontractor quotations, and develop accurate project pricing with input from bid and operations teams.
The role offers hybrid working and a base in multiple locations, with a focus on delivering competitive tenders and value engineering while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Base: Flexible working from Stoke-on-Trent Head Office, Warrington, Burton or Birmingham.
Hybrid working: typically 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. Working hours are usually 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
As an Estimator or Senior Estimator with Novus, you’ll play a key role in supporting our continued growth. Working closely with our Bid and Operational teams, you’ll produce accurate, competitive pricing for tenders with both new and existing clients, primarily within a social housing refurbishment environment.
Our estimating team works collaboratively across a range of regions, clients and programmes of work, giving you variety and the opportunity to get involved in diverse projects. With ambitious growth plans over the next three years, your focus will be on helping us improve the success of the tenders we submit, bringing commercial awareness, attention to detail and a competitive edge to everything you do.
We also offer a discounted healthcare scheme, high street and lifestyle discounts including Tastecard, one paid volunteering day per year, length of service awards and much more.
You’ll bring experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator, ideally within a social housing refurbishment, property services, maintenance or construction environment. You’ll be confident pricing works from first principles and have experience of cost planning, with the attention to detail needed to produce accurate, commercially sound tenders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as you’ll work closely with internal teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors. You’ll be comfortable pricing larger-scale projects, while also managing multiple smaller tenders at the same time. Experience using Causeway or similar estimating software would be advantageous.
If you’re commercially minded, collaborative and looking for an opportunity where you can make a real impact as part of an established, people-focused business, we’d love to hear from you.
