Job summary

A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd is seeking an Estimator for office-based work in Bedford. The role involves pricing a mix of refurbishment, fit-out, extensions and new build projects, typically £500k–£2m, with site visits as required.

You will manage tenders from inquiry to submission, collaborating with commercial, operational and pre-construction teams to ensure competitive, compliant bids and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• You will need strong cost estimation experience on refurbishment, fit-out, extensions or new builds.
• You will review tenders, build up costs and price submissions to win bids.
• You should coordinate with commercial, operations and pre-construction teams during bids.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Issue subcontractor and supplier enquiries and assess quotations.
• Complete take-offs, cost build-ups and pricing documents.
• Identify tender risks, clarifications and value engineering options.
• Coordinate bid information with commercial and operational teams.
• Support tender handovers on successful projects.
