Job summary

Allstaff Recruitment is seeking a Construction Estimator based in Bedford for a full-time permanent role. The position offers a salary of £60,000 per year with standard hours: Mon–Thu 8:30am–5pm, Fri 8:30am–4:30pm, in Bedford.

The ideal candidate will have experience estimating in commercial/industrial construction, strong numerical ability, and proficiency with MS Office and estimating software. On-site role with project handovers support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, tender pricing and bid submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Obtain and analyse quotations.
• Quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
• Highlight potential risks.
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Support project handovers.
