A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd in Bedford is offering a Trainee Estimator or Estimator role within a busy commercial team. The position is office-based with regular site visits and offers hybrid working after a training period.

You will develop skills in reviewing drawings and specifications, quantity take-offs, pricing, supplier enquiries and tender submissions while supporting contract administration and commercial reporting. Training provided to those eager to learn.

Formación

• 5 GCSEs including a C in Maths.
• Must be able to drive.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to juggle multiple tenders and deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Experience in negotiation is beneficial.
• Comfortable working on security-cleared projects (training provided).

Responsabilidades

• Reviewing drawings and specifications
• Quantity take-offs
• Preparing estimates and costings
• Pricing bills of quantities and producing lump-sum tenders
• Supplier and subcontractor enquiries
• Comparing quotations and supporting procurement
• Assisting with tender submissions
• Supporting contract administration and commercial reporting
• Carrying out site surveys 12 times per week
• Working on projects requiring security clearance
