Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited in Dundee is seeking an Estimator - Interior Fit-Out to price tender packages for commercial joinery projects and support cost planning from drawings and specifications.

You will review drawings, prepare cost plans, and liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and timely submissions. A strong numerical and commercial mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• The role requires experience as an Estimator or QS.
• Experience in interior fit-out / joinery is preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
• IT literate, with Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify tender opportunities, review drawings and specifications, and carry out site surveys and quantity take-offs.
• Prepare, price and submit tenders, PQQs and subcontractor packages.
• Manage post-contract QS duties, including valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, managing contracts, payments and retentions.

The role of the Estimator - Interior Fit-Out will involve:

• Estimator position working on range of fit-out joinery projects across the commercial sector

• General office administration and stakeholder liaison
• Identify tender opportunities, review drawings and specifications, and carry out site surveys and quantity take-offs
• Prepare, price and submit tenders, PQQs and subcontractor packages
• Manage post-contract QS duties, including valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, managing contracts, payments and retentions

The ideal applicant will be Estimator - Interior Fit-Out with:

• Must have experience as an Estimator or QS
• Ideally have experience within Interior Fit-Out, framing, structural building products, dry walling, partitions or related
• Strong technical understanding of drawings, specifications and construction processes
• Ability to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate cost plans.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills
