Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited in Leicester is seeking an Estimator for bespoke joinery to price high-end commercial and residential projects. The role focuses on interpreting drawings, creating cost plans and BOQs, and delivering quotes to meet customer deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills, with IT literacy and Excel proficiency to support tendering and procurement processes. A discretionary bonus accompanies the £55,000 salary.

Qualifications

• Experience as Estimator in bespoke joinery sector.
• Experience in commercial joinery is a plus.
• Strong technical understanding of drawings and client specifications.
• Ability to translate project requirements into cost plans.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
• IT literate, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimator position dealing with a high end range of bespoke commercial & residential joinery projects (desks, panelling, furniture, cabinets and surfaces).
• Review tender enquiries to determine scope of works and project deadlines.
• Working on projects where each product/system is unique and therefore requires a bespoke approach.
• Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database.
• Contact customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information.
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Managing large projects up to a value of £750k.

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator Bespoke Joinery with:

• Must have experience as an Estimator working within the bespoke joinery sector
• Highly advantageous to have commercial joinery experience
• Strong technical understanding of drawings and client specifications
• Ability to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate cost plans.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
