Job summary

M&E SITECREW LTD in London is seeking a commercially minded Estimator to join its fire and security team in Loughton. The role blends estimating, commercial management and business development to win competitive quotations and tenders.

You will review drawings, price materials and subcontractors, build client relationships across London, Essex and Kent, and help grow the contract base through proactive follow-ups and identifying new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Estimating or similar commercial role.
• Strong knowledge of fire and security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms).
• Experience preparing quotations, estimates and tenders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations, estimates and tender submissions for fire and security projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender docs to establish project costs.
• Price materials, equipment, labour and subcontractor packages.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client base.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Working Arrangement: Hybrid - minimum two days per week in the officeThe OpportunityAn established fire and security business is looking for a commercially minded Estimator to join its team in Loughton.This is a varied role combining estimating, commercial management and business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive quotations and tenders while actively supporting the company's growth by identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships and helping secure new contracts.Working across London, Essex and Kent, you will play an important role in driving revenue, maximising commercial opportunities and building long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Previous experience in Estimating, Sales Estimator or similar commercial role within the fire and security industry.
• Strong knowledge of fire and security systems, ideally including fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarms.
• Experience preparing quotations, estimates and commercial tenders.
• A commercial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to business growth.
• Confident communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience following up leads, developing client accounts and helping convert opportunities into sales.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
