We have an opportunity for a Building Estimator to join our team based out of Lympne, Kent.

The role includes:

• Analyzing tender documentation and capturing client requirements.
• Producing an accurate BOQ for pricing, reflecting client needs, with knowledge of CESSM 3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
• Costing traditional and design-build contracts.
• Preparing material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
• Carrying out site visits, assimilating information, and considering it in tender pricing.
• Assessing rates and prices, creating new ones or inserting from quotes.
• Producing competitive and accurate commercial submissions for review and approval.
• Having working knowledge of NEC3 and JCT Contracts, HSQE legislation, and construction methods.
• Attending pre and post tender meetings.
• Understanding building material components and plant requirements.

You should have:

• At least 3 years of experience as an estimator.
• Experience in commercial/industrial projects.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Numerical proficiency and accuracy.
• Confidence and resourcefulness.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Collaborative approach to ensure the best submission.
