The role includes:

• Analyzing tender documents and capturing client requirements
• Producing accurate BOQs using knowledge of CESSM 3, SMM7, or Highways Method of Measurement
• Costing traditional and design-build contracts
• Preparing enquiry documents for materials and subcontractors
• Conducting site visits and incorporating findings into tender pricing
• Assessing rates, creating new or inserting from quotes
• Preparing competitive commercial submissions for review
• Understanding NEC3 and JCT contracts, HSQE legislation, and construction methods
• Attending pre and post tender meetings
• Knowledge of building materials and equipment

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum 3 years estimating experience
• Experience with commercial/industrial projects
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and organizational skills
• Numerate with attention to detail
• Confident, resourceful, and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently or within a team
