Position: Building Estimator based in Lympne, Kent

The role includes:

• Analyzing tender documentation and capturing client requirements.
• Producing accurate BOQ for pricing, reflecting client needs, with knowledge of CESSM 3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
• Understanding costing for traditional and design-build contracts.
• Preparing material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
• Carrying out site visits and incorporating findings into tender pricing.
• Assessing rates, creating or inserting quotes from subcontractors and materials.
• Preparing competitive commercial submissions for review and approval.
• Having knowledge of NEC3 and JCT Contracts, HSQE legislation, and construction methods.
• Participating in pre and post tender meetings.
• Understanding building materials and plant requirements.

Candidate requirements:

• At least 3 years of estimating experience.
• Experience with commercial/industrial projects.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Numerical proficiency and accuracy.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
