Job summary

S Guest Consultancy Services Ltd is seeking an Estimator for Civil Engineering, Waterways and Dredging. The role is office-based in Staffordshire with site visits across the UK, supporting tendering processes from enquiry to handover.

You will prepare budgets, take-offs and tender submissions, applying NEC3/4 and JCT contract considerations while managing risks and costs across diverse water-related projects.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience in civil engineering or construction.
• HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Good understanding of NEC3/4 and JCT contracts and their pricing impact.
• Willingness to travel to sites across the UK and work across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tenders and budgets on time.
• Produce take-offs and update market rates.
• Estimate project costs and cash flow forecasts.
• Identify tender risks including health, safety and contracts.
• Price work using land and water-based plant.
• Procure subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Write quality submissions and method statements.
• Carry out site visits to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare handover files for delivery team.
