Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Estimator (Civils) to join the Southern Water Framework. Location is flexible across the UK, with occasional travel to Falmer, East Sussex. 40 hours per week with some flexibility in hours.

The role involves leading the estimating process for Civils works, developing innovative solutions, and assisting junior team members to deliver competitive tenders. Applicants should have civil engineering experience, contract knowledge, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in construction or civil engineering.
• Experience as an Estimator within water/civil engineering industry.
• Strong commercial awareness with knowledge of NEC/ICE/IChemE contracts.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process and present estimates at bid team meetings and gateways.
• Prepare quantities, analytical estimates and pricing for NEC/Target Cost.
• Manage supply chain strategy, appraising quotations and selecting subcontractors.
• Identify key risks, develop value-engineered solutions and support project handovers.
• Supervising and developing team members whilst managing workloads to meet deadlines.
