Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Estimator (Civils) to support the Southern Water Framework. This is a UK-wide role with occasional travel to Falmer, East Sussex, and surrounding Southern Water regions.

You will manage the estimating process from documents to handover, pricing tenders under NEC/Target Cost/ECI, and coordinating with the supply chain. The ideal candidate has a Civil/Construction background, demonstrable estimator experience in a major civil contractor within the water sector, and a full

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC in construction or civil engineering.
• Demonstrable experience as an Estimator or in a technical/commercial role in civil works.
• Good commercial awareness with knowledge of NEC, ICE, IChemE contracts.
• Strong technical understanding of Civil Engineering and ability to promote alternatives.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating process from receipt of documents to handover to delivery team.
• Prepare quantities from drawings and specs using recognised measurement methods.
• Develop supply chain strategies, appraise quotations and select sub-contractors.
• Price work under NEC, Target Cost, Design & Build, and ECI bids.
• Present estimates at team meetings and contribute to value-engineered bid designs.
