Job summary

Kingdom People is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established construction and civil engineering contractor in Preston. You will prepare competitive tenders, analyse drawings and specifications, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost reflection of delivery methods.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating within Building & Civil engineering or groundworks.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and pricing.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for JCT/NEC civil packages on major projects.
• Analyse tender documents, drawings and specs to understand project scope.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and build cost databases.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to reflect practical delivery methods in estimates.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
• Maintain and update estimating tools and systems.
