Job summary

Linkit Resource Partnership Limited is seeking an Estimator for bespoke joinery projects in Leicester. You will be involved from tender through to handover, helping win work and ensure projects start on solid commercial footing.

The role requires experience in joinery estimating or related area, plus strong commercial acumen and client relationship skills. You will interpret drawings, chase opportunities, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver accurate quotations.

Estimator - Bespoke Projects

You know your joinery. You understand drawings. And you know how to turn an opportunity into a profitable project.

We're working with an established bespoke joinery business delivering high-value projects for a diverse client base, and they're looking for an experienced Estimator to join the team.

This isn't a role where you simply price a set of drawings and send out a quote.

You'll be involved from tender through to handover, helping win work, build client relationships and make sure projects start on the right commercial footing.

What you’ll be doing

• Estimating costs and preparing accurate quotations across bespoke joinery projects
• Producing detailed tender and quotation proposals, including the supporting financial information
• Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Managing the tender process and keeping opportunities moving
• Proactively following up clients for feedback and updates
• Building strong relationships with prospective clients, suppliers and internal teams
• Understanding the commercial position of projects with values up to £750k
• Keeping project and quotation information accurate within the ERP system
• Coordinating project handovers with the Project Manager and Buyer

What we’re looking for

You'll ideally have experience in joinery estimating, project management or a closely related role within the joinery industry.

More importantly, you'll be commercially aware, detail-focused and confident dealing with people.

You need to be someone who can look at a drawing and understand what needs to be built, what it is likely to cost and what questions need asking before a price goes out.

You'll also need the confidence to pick up the phone, chase an opportunity and build relationships rather than simply waiting for clients to come back to you.
