Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is recruiting an Estimator for a well-established engineering manufacturer in the UK. You will own the quotation process from enquiry through to final quotation, coordinating with Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing to produce accurate, timely quotes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Estimator, Cost Engineer or similar technical/commercial role.
• Manufacturing or engineering industry experience.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
• Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience working with CRM or ERP systems.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication across multiple departments.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proactive and methodical approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Manage the quotation process from enquiry through to customer submission.
• Review drawings and specifications to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Assess feasibility and identify efficient production methods.
• Produce accurate cost estimates based on materials and lead times.
• Liaise with Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Sales for information.
• Source material pricing and compare with past data.
• Prepare clear, accurate quotations within timescales.
• Maintain quotation records in CRM.
