Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking an experienced Estimator – Architectural Ironmongery in Orpington. Hybrid working available, with a salary of £40,000–£50,000.

You will review drawings, price hardware specifications, and produce formal quotations while advising on technical queries and maintaining key client relationships. The role involves dealing with high-end architectural ironmongery projects from £20k to £1m, tailoring quotes to each project, and logging data into scheduling and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Must have estimating experience within architectural ironmongery, door hardware or associated ironmongery products.
• Ideally a member of The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI).
• Experience working with the Intec software package.
• Ability to work under pressure and to timescales when required.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• PC literate (Microsoft Office).
• High levels of organisation, attention to detail and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Price up hardware specifications and produce formal quotations.
• Review drawings and project related information provided by architects and specifying consultants.
• Build and maintain working relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
• Input all relevant information onto internal scheduling software and CRM system.
• Prioritising workload to ensure that project deadlines are met.
• Pricing up projects ranging from £20k to £1m.
• Offer technical advice to resolve customer queries.

The role of the Estimator – Architectural Ironmongery will involve:

• Estimator position, dealing with a comprehensive range of manufactured high end architectural ironmongery


• Review drawings and project related information provided by architects and specifying consultants


• Price up hardware specifications and produce formal quotations


• Offer technical advice to resolve customer queries


• Build and maintain working relationships with clients to encourage repeat business


• Deploying a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for meeting the requirements of the role
