Job summary

ProGroup Recruitment Limited is working with an established specialist manufacturer to recruit an Estimator for the commercial team near Birchfield. You will convert customer drawings and project information into accurate, competitive quotations and coordinate with sales, technical and manufacturing colleagues.

Responsibilities include recording scope, assumptions and risks, issuing quotations within deadlines and supporting regional sales with pricing and project queries.

• Working with sales, technical, production control and manufacturing teams to confirm suitable solutions.

• Maintaining accurate quotation logs, customer records and supporting documentation.
• Managing multiple enquiries and communicating workload priorities with the Estimating Manager.

ProGroup Recruitment are working with an established specialist manufacturer supplying bespoke products to the construction and commercial interiors sectors. With continued growth and a strong focus on quality, the business is looking for an Estimator to join its commercial team.

This is an opportunity to work on varied customer projects, develop your technical product knowledge and collaborate closely with sales, technical and manufacturing colleagues. You'll have ownership of your quotations and contribute to solutions that meet customer requirements and can be delivered effectively.

The role

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you'll turn customer drawings, specifications and project information into accurate, competitive quotations.

You'll review requirements, resolve information gaps and work with colleagues to ensure proposed products are technically appropriate, practical to manufacture and commercially viable.

Your responsibilities will include:

About you

You'll be confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications, comfortable working with figures and able to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.

Experience preparing estimates, quotations or tenders within manufacturing, construction, joinery, doorsets or building products would be particularly relevant. Candidates from technical sales or quotations roles with suitable experience are also encouraged to apply.
