Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited in the West Midlands is seeking an Assistant Estimator, Estimator or Senior Estimator to join a growing contractor. The role offers hybrid working, a flexible experience level and a salary from £35,000 to £75,000 with car or allowance and excellent benefits.

You'll produce accurate tenders for refurbishment and social housing projects, work with bid and operations teams, price labour and materials, and support cost planning and value engineering.

Assistant Estimator / Estimator / Senior Estimator

Due to company growth, we're recruiting for an Assistant Estimator, Estimator or Senior Estimator to join a successful team, with flexibility around experience level. The Role

Working closely with the Bid and Operational teams, you'll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders across refurbishment and planned maintenance projects for both new and existing clients.

Duties include:

• Preparing estimates, quotations and tender submissions
• Producing quantities from drawings and specifications
• Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Pricing labour, plant and material costs
• Supporting value engineering and cost planning
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Working collaboratively with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners

About You

We're keen to hear from candidates with estimating experience gained within social housing, property services, refurbishment or the wider construction sector.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience pricing projects from first principles
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Experience preparing competitive tenders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
