Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Estimator / Estimator / Senior Estimator for the West Midlands, with hybrid working. Salary range £35,000 - £75,000, plus a car or car allowance and excellent benefits.

You will join a growing team and work on tenders for refurbishment and planned maintenance projects, collaborating with Bid and Operational teams to produce accurate estimates for new and existing clients.

Qualifications

• Experience pricing projects from first principles
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Experience preparing competitive tenders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Preparing estimates, quotations and tender submissions
• Producing quantities from drawings and specifications
• Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Pricing labour, plant and material costs
• Supporting value engineering and cost planning
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities

Due to company growth, we're recruiting for an Assistant Estimator, Estimator or Senior Estimator to join a successful team, with flexibility around experience level. The Role

Working closely with the Bid and Operational teams, you\'ll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders across refurbishment and planned maintenance projects for both new and existing clients.

• Preparing estimates, quotations and tender submissions
• Producing quantities from drawings and specifications
• Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Pricing labour, plant and material costs
• Supporting value engineering and cost planning
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Working collaboratively with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners

About You

We\'re keen to hear from candidates with estimating experience gained within social housing, property services, refurbishment or the wider construction sector.

• You\'ll ideally have:
• Experience pricing projects from first principles
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Experience preparing competitive tenders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
