Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Estimator for a hybrid role in Warrington, with Birmingham office option. You will price work across retrofit and refurbishment projects, prepare BOQs, and coordinate with supply chain partners and clients to submit competitive tenders.

The role covers reading drawings, preparing cost plans, evaluating subcontractor quotes, and identifying value engineering opportunities while supporting two-stage tender submissions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

We're recruiting on behalf of a growing contractor delivering energy-efficient refurbishment and retrofit schemes across the UK. Their projects help improve the performance of social housing, Housing Association properties and public sector buildings through innovative retrofit solutions, including heat pump installations and large-scale refurbishment programmes.

The Role

As Estimator, you'll play a key role in securing and pricing work across a diverse portfolio of retrofit and refurbishment projects. Working closely with operational teams, supply chain partners and clients, you'll be responsible for producing competitive and accurate tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications

What We're Looking For

• Experience within a construction estimating role
• Ability to prepare detailed BOQs and cost plans
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of subcontractor and material supply chains
• Experience working on refurbishment, retrofit or building projects
• Understanding of two-stage tender processes
• Main contractor background preferred
• Typically around 5-6 years' industry experience, although applications from ambitious junior estimators are welcomed
