Job summary

Box Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator/Estimator/QS for a Manchester-based, office-based role. You will lead cost estimation for façade remediation and through-wall construction projects, managing tenders from enquiry to submission and coordinating with clients, consultants, and suppliers.

The role requires strong knowledge of façade remediation practices and regulations, excellent commercial awareness, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience as Estimator/Senior Estimator/QS in façade remediation or related construction sectors.
• North Manchester office-based role.
• Essential experience with full through-wall construction systems.
• Strong knowledge of façade remediation methodologies and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage tenders from enquiry to submission.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for façade remediation and construction projects up to £10 million.
• Manage the estimating process from enquiry to final tender submission.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documents.
• Interrogate and understand FRAEW reports.
• Produce detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans.
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Support projects through the PCSA process.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors during pre-construction.
• Occasional site visits to gather information.

Senior Estimator / Estimator

Location: Manchester (Office-Based)

Position: Full-Time

Salary: Around £65,000 - £75000 (Negotiable, Dependent on Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator/Estimator/QS to join a specialist, award winning contractor delivering façade remediation and refurbishment projects. Candidates must have strong experience in façade remediation, with full through-wall construction experience being essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates for façade remediation and construction projects valued up to £10 million
• Managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final tender submission
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation
• Interrogate and understand FRAEWs reports.
• Producing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
• Supporting projects through the PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement) process
• Liaising with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the pre-construction phase
• Undertaking occasional site visits to assess project requirements and gather information

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator or QS within façade remediation, building envelope, cladding, or related construction sectors
• Please note: this role will be based in their North Manchester office
• Essential experience and understanding of full through-wall construction systems
• Strong knowledge of façade remediation methodologies and associated regulations
• Proven ability to manage tenders from enquiry through to submission
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
