Job summary

Box Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor in Manchester. The role focuses on façade remediation and building envelope projects, operating as both principal and sub-contractor with strong cost-estimating responsibilities and site liaison.

The role requires expertise in through-wall construction and external facade products. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in estimating large-scale façade remediation projects and be comfortable with multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

• Façade remediation and building envelope experience required.
• Experience with estimating façade remediation projects up to £10 million.
• Knowledge of SFS Intumescent lining boards, insulation, breather membranes, VCL.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates for façade remediation and construction projects valued up to £10 million.
• Managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final tender submission.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
• Interrogate and understand FRAEWs reports.
• Producing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans.
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Supporting projects through the PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement) process.
• Liaising with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the pre-construction phase.
• Undertaking occasional site visits to assess project requirements and gather information.
