Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd is representing a leading façade contractor recruiting a Cladding Estimator to join the pre-construction team in Manchester. You will prepare accurate estimates for cladding, façade and building envelope projects and review drawings, specs and tender documents.

The ideal candidate will have proven estimating experience in cladding or building envelopes, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple tenders to tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven estimator experience in cladding, façade, roofing, glazing or building envelope.
• Strong understanding of façade systems, rainscreen cladding, EWI, or remediation projects.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Experience interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.
• A proactive, organised, and commercially focused approach.
• Relevant construction, estimating, or quantity surveying qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate and competitive estimates for cladding, façade, and building envelope projects.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Producing detailed take-offs, cost plans, and pricing schedules.
• Obtaining competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identifying value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Assessing commercial and technical risks throughout the tender process.
• Preparing comprehensive tender submissions within agreed deadlines.
• Working closely with design, commercial, and operational teams.
• Supporting client meetings and tender interviews where required.
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

With expertise spanning both new-build and remediation projects, the business continues to experience significant growth, driven by increasing demand across the faade sector. As part of their continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Cladding Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

The Role

As Cladding Estimator, you will be responsible for:

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Cladding Estimator will have:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the cladding, faades, roofing, glazing, or building envelope sector

• Strong understanding of faade systems, rainscreen cladding, EWI, or remediation projects

• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills

• Experience interpreting construction drawings and specifications

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• The ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines
