Job summary

L.J.B & Co. Construction Recruitment is seeking an Estimator for a bespoke high-end residential contractor in Guildford to manage cost planning from inception through completion.

You will prepare tender submissions, negotiate costs, liaise with subcontractors and build relationships with key stakeholders, with 5-10 years’ experience and a degree in Commercial Management preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as an Estimator or Pre-Construction Manager with a Main Contractor.
• Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a similar role.
• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Commercial Management.
• Strong commercial awareness and acumen.

Projects: £50,000 - £30 million (High-End Residential)
Working Arrangement: 1 day working from home

Our client is a bespoke high-end residential contractor with a turnover of £40 million. With a strong presence in West London and continued growth, they are seeking an Estimator to join their expanding team. This is an opportunity to work on a range of high-value residential projects within a well-established and forward-moving business.

The Role

• Take full financial responsibility for projects from inception through to completion
• Prepare and manage tender submissions
• Negotiate tender returns and final project costs
• Liaise with subcontractors from initial engagement through to final accounts
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
• Carry out first principle estimating
