Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor specialized in structural steel for fast‑moving London projects. You will run budgets, cost plans and early commercial guidance to keep outcomes tight.

You will track cash flow, forecast variances and manage commercial performance across multiple steel packages, working with PMs, estimators and site teams. This steel-focused role requires clear client and subcontractor communication, contract awareness and a proactive approach to change

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying experience within steelwork, construction or engineering.
• Strong commercial grounding – budgets, cost control, variations, forecasting.
• Contract knowledge across engineering or construction environments.
• Confidence working with operational teams.
• Clear communication with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Build project budgets and cost plans that set the shape of each job.
• Track cash flow and keep forecasts honest as the work progresses.
• Manage commercial performance across multiple specialist steel packages.
• Control variations, valuations and commercial changes.
• Support contract administration and ensure compliance with the terms that matter.
• Work with project teams - PMs, estimators, engineering and site - to keep delivery and commercials aligned.
