Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Estates Building Officer to manage minor works, major capital projects and compliance programmes within a large hospital estate.

You will lead asbestos management, supervise contractors, support BMS operations, and ensure governance and KPI delivery across the Estates team. Experience with HTM and high-risk systems is valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services or equivalent required; will cover HTM, H&S, Fire and related qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and manage assigned Estates/ Minor New Works/ Capital projects to agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.
• Manage delegated budgets for Minor New Works and capital schemes.
• Indirectly line-manage Estates Administrator for Minor New Works database.
• Maintain effective communication within the department among management, staff and other hospital departments.
