Tameside Hospital Estates is seeking an Estates Building Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day building maintenance across the Trust estate, ensuring safety, compliance and value for money. Reporting to the Head of Estates, you will lead technical guidance, manage budgets and projects, and drive maintenance programmes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of building maintenance across the Trust estate.
• Lead building fabric inspections, surveys, and planned maintenance programmes.
• Provide specialist technical advice on maintenance, compliance and property matters.
• Prepare specifications, procure works and manage maintenance projects.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, Health and Safety, Building Regulations and HTMs/HBNs.
• Lead on building-related compliance, including asbestos management.
• Develop Estates staff with performance reviews and training needs.
• Act as designated budget holder; monitor expenditure and value for money.
• Maintain records on building condition, maintenance activities and compliance.
• Develop relationships with internal teams, contractors and external partners.
• Undertake risk assessments and implement controls to minimise risks.
• Participate in on-call rota and respond to estate emergencies.
• Undertake Authorised Person responsibilities within disciplines after training.
