Job summary

North Wales Police is seeking two Estates Project Managers to support the estates projects team in delivering new builds and refurbishments across the North Wales estate. This fixed-term two-year role requires a degree in construction or similar, membership in a recognised professional body, and proven construction and contract administration experience.

You will need strong analytical and negotiation skills, be highly communicative, and capable of travelling across the North Wales Police area

Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree level in Construction or similar discipline, preferably with PM qualifications.
  • Member of a recognised construction-related professional organisation (e.g., CIOB, RICS, ICE, BI FM).
  • Proven track record with substantial construction and organisational experience, incl. administration of contracts.
  • Must be able to travel throughout the North Wales Police area as required.

Responsibilities

  • Support our estates projects team to deliver new build and refurbishment across North Wales’ estate.
  • Assist with project delivery in a fixed-term two-year contract.
  • Demonstrate the minimum requirements and adapt workload as priorities change.

Estates Project Manager x2

Role Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support our estates projects team to deliver a number new build and refurbishment across North Wales’s estate. This is a fixed term two-year contract that will work with our existing team to deliver a strong pipeline of projects that are ready for delivery.

You willbe requiredtodemonstratein your application theminimumrequirement for the role:

  • Educated to Degree level in Construction or similar discipline preferably with Project Management Professional qualifications.
  • Member of a recognised construction related professional organisationeg: C.I.O.B, R.I.C.S, I.C.E, B.I.F.M
  • Proventrack recordwith substantial construction and organisational experience, inclusive of administration of construction contracts.
  • Be reactive to change and adaptwork loadsto accommodate changes in priority.
  • Ability to assimilate and evaluate information critically and to objectively examine and / or make recommendations using robust research,analysisand technical knowledge.Has ananalytical, systematicand disciplined approach to problem solving
  • Computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project, REVIT, and/or CAD systems.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiating skills, with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels both within and outside the organisation, thinking logically and influential in decision makingwith regard tosupporting operational imperatives given logistical and financial constraints.
  • Alwaysseekto improve and provide best value, by constantly evaluating and monitoring workstreams and implement lessons learned whereappropriate.
  • Must be able to travel throughout the North Wales Police area as and whenrequired.
  • The post requires the successful applicant to beself motivated, innovative,proactiveand assertive with resilience and determination to meet the demands of this challenging position.

This post is a fixed-term contract for the duration of 2 years.
