Job summary

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Estates is seeking a Programme Manager to oversee project delivery of Capex programmes across a large portfolio. The role focuses on governance, procurement, cost management and supplier collaboration to ensure successful design, build and handover to operations.

You will work with Estate colleagues and external partners, driving transformation while adhering to the Government Property Profession standards and BIM/Sustainability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a comprehensive strategy for stakeholder management and engagement with senior clients, internal and external stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Support the definition of robust processes to ensure long-term DWP sites are fit for purpose, enabling maximum occupation to support the Authority's business.
• Provide financial business case support and contribute to cost and programme parameter definitions.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of projects across the portfolio with contractual responsibility for supplier partners and design/delivery of construction works.
• Lead governance, finance approvals and reporting through the project lifecycle and RIBA stages.
• Oversee cost management, tendering, contract award and final settlement processes.
• Coordinate commissioning, snagging, handover, and post-implementation reviews, applying Government Soft Landings and BIM where appropriate.
