Estates Programme Lead – Transformation & Delivery

Job summary

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Estates is seeking a Programme Management professional to oversee project-related professional services and contractor partners, delivering Capex Programmes across a large portfolio with budget challenge and stakeholder assurance within the Estates function of Corporate Transformation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and supply chain partners to enable effective governance, cost control and end-to-end delivery of projects in a public sector

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a comprehensive strategy for Project Stakeholder management and engagement.
• Support the definition of a robust process to ensure long term strategic DWP sites are fit for purpose.
• Evaluate and approve project feasibility reports.
• Support colleagues in the development of Financial Business Case documentation for projects, and take responsibility for FBC2.
• Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects within the portfolio with supplier management.
• Approval of detailed and technical design of projects.
• Prepare and approval of FF&E schedules and procurement as required.
• Provision and authorisation of Environment, Health and Safety standards, and reporting of non-compliance.
• Prepare project bid documents and undertake due diligence of main contractor selection.
• Manage project change and approval process.
• Oversee cost management from estimating to final account.
• Oversee commissioning of snagging works and handover to Service Delivery.
