Orbit Group is seeking three full-time Estate Services Operatives to maintain communal areas across Coventry, Leamington, Rugby and surrounding patches. The role involves cleaning, litter removal, safety reporting, and seasonal duties to keep estates tidy and safe for residents and visitors.

Ideal candidates will hold a full UK driving licence, have basic numeracy/literacy, and be capable of operating maintenance equipment while working across all seasons.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold a current full UK driving licence and be willing to drive the association’s vehicles.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required.
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment such as petrol blowers and cleaning tools.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
• Must meet the physical requirements of a manual role.

• Provide high standard cleaning of communal areas including lifts, stairwells, floors, walls and windows.
• Carry out litter picking and bulk rubbish/fly tipping removal to maintain estate cleanliness.
• Ensure PPE and machinery are used safely and report faults or incidents to the Senior Estate Services Operative.
• Store hazardous liquids safely and comply with COSHH and fire regulations.
• Assist with additional estate duties such as snow clearance, gritting and graffiti removal when required.

The role

As part of the Estate Services team to provide a high quality and environmental service to communal areas on estates within a specified area. This may include cleaning, litter picking, removal of bulk rubbish/fly tipping, bin store cleaning and the reporting of issues and improvements, safety and security of our customers, visitors and Orbits properties.

This role is part of Property where you'll help us to lead the way investing and maintaining 46,000 homes.

We are currently recruiting 3 Full Time Operatives, who will cover the Coventry / Leamington / Rugby patch, or the Rugby / Southam patch.

What you'll achieve

• To be responsible for providing a high standard cleaning service to communal areas in blocks including lifts, stairwells, floors, walls, and windows. To maintain clear, tidy and safe refuse areas such as bin stores, chute rooms and hoppers, following specific cleaning specifications and standards.
• To provide a litter picking and bulk rubbish/fly tipping removal service, which may include noxious substances and drug paraphernalia to ensure estates are maintained to the highest visual standards and are safe.
• To be accountable for ensuring personal protective equipment and machinery is used & maintained in a safe manner, and reporting any faults or defects, near misses, incidents, or accidents to Senior Estate Services Operative.
• To be accountable for ensuring that stocks of hazardous and inflammable liquids are stored appropriately and conforms to COSHH and fire regulations.
• Responsible for carrying out estates duties, as directed by the Senior Estate Services Operative (to include but not limited to snow clearance, gritting, bin and bin store works, minor/routine repairs in communal areas/offices and removal of graffiti where required.)

Essential skills

• Must hold a current full UK driving licence and be willing to drive the association’s vehicles, including vans and tipper transits.
• Basic level of numeracy/ literacy being required
• Must have the capability to operate machinery/tipper vans and equipment such as petrol blowers, floor cleaning apparatus.
• Must have the ability and willingness to work internally and externally during all seasons.
• Must be able to fulfil the physical requirements of a manual post.
