Job summary

Luton Borough Council is seeking an Estates Officer to keep housing estates clean, safe and well maintained, providing a visible and responsive service to residents. You’ll inspect communal areas, identify issues and ensure health, fire safety, cleanliness and value for money standards are met.

You will build relationships with tenants and partners, support antisocial behaviour cases, prepare witness statements and attend court where required, all while keeping clear records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections of communal areas across the Council's housing stock.
• Identify issues and take enforcement or corrective action to meet health, fire safety, cleanliness, customer satisfaction and value for money standards.
• Build positive relationships with tenants, leaseholders, residents and partner organisations; attend meetings and support antisocial behaviour casework.
• Maintain accurate records, monitor performance and produce reports; operate a seven-day rota.
