Job summary

Berkeley Group in Taplow, Buckinghamshire, seeks an Estates Manager to oversee residential freeholds and assets, ensuring exceptional service while mitigating risk as freeholder and Residents' Management Company director. The portfolio includes diverse developments from greenfield housing to urban regeneration.

Role requires Leasehold Property Management experience and AIRPM (minimum), strong knowledge of landlord/tenant law, health & safety, and adherence to RICS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in Leasehold Property Management.
• AIRPM qualification (minimum).
• Strong understanding of landlord and tenant legislation, health & safety, and related laws.
• Solid knowledge of the RICS Code of Practice and industry guidelines.
• Customer focused approach to service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring managing agent performance through site visits, quarterly presentations, and annual audits.
• Produce Estate Management information for reporting to Head of Estate Management.
• Manage block handovers to the managing agent and collate handover information.
• Monitor statutory inspections and ensure records are updated.
• Monitor Health and Safety inspections and action plans and ensure completion and recording.
• Monitor service charge finances including arrears and capital expenditure reviews.
• Review service charge accounts and budgets prior to approval.
• Process applications for consents from customers and manage timely responses.
• Attend Sales/Build/Estate Management/Customer Service team meetings.
• Perform other duties as required by Head of Estate Management.
