Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales is seeking an energy specialist to support the Head of Operational Estates in reducing carbon consumption and costs, in line with Welsh Government targets and national audits.

The role requires delivering specialist energy advice, monitoring utility data, and providing yearly reports, while collaborating with project managers, stakeholders, and external bodies to drive a low-carbon agenda across all Health Board properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy management or carbon reduction is desirable.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead carbon reduction across Health Board sites and CRC processes.
• Monitor and report utility consumption and costs to national audit standards.
• Provide strategic energy targets for major capital development projects.
• Coordinate with contracted utility vendors and the Shared Service Partnership for Wales.
