West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a role focused on delivering energy and sustainability objectives across the Council's estate. You will manage energy data, contracts, and invoicing and support rollout of smart metering and energy reporting.

The role emphasizes reducing costs, carbon emissions, and ensuring compliance with national reporting obligations. Ideal candidates will have experience in energy management within public sector buildings and be able to analyse energy usage data to

Competenze

Strong understanding of energy management and energy efficiency programmes within public sector buildings.
Up-to-date knowledge of the national carbon management agenda, including climate emergency commitments and statutory reporting requirements.
Experience managing energy accounts and utility contracts, ensuring accurate billing and reliable energy data reporting.

Mansioni

Review, validate and pay utility invoices promptly to minimise late charges and maintain supplier relationships.
Manage energy data collection, submit meter readings, maintain energy management system, and analyse consumption and carbon data.
Coordinate with utility suppliers to roll out smart metering and ensure Display Energy Certificates and recommendations are up to date.
Support energy efficiency improvements and environmental/net-zero commitments across Council assets.
