Job summary

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an Estates Officer Decontamination to manage engineering plant operations and lead maintenance for sterilisers and washer disinfectors across Trust sites. You will ensure HTM 01-01 compliance and coordinate with the Estates Operational Management Team.

Key duties include supervising technical staff, developing planned preventative maintenance, approving invoices, and supporting the Deputy Head of Engineering on estates matters.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognised trade apprenticeship with related engineering qualifications.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience or a degree with experience.
• Accreditation as test person for sterilisers/washer disinfectors HTM 01-01.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and testing for sterilisers/washer disinfectors (HTM 01-01).
• Maintain ventilation and water systems (HTM 03/04) with Legionella liaison.
• Develop and review planned preventative maintenance programmes and records.
• Conduct condition appraisals of engineering plant and systems and prepare business cases for replacement/upgrade costs.
• Approve invoices on various budgets and support Estates management on operational matters.
