Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an Estates Compliance Manager to lead compliance within the Estates team across Basingstoke and North Hampshire, the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and Andover War Memorial Hospital.

The role requires advanced knowledge of NHS standards, regulatory guidance and safety practices with responsibilities for audits, policies and reporting.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of healthcare design standards, construction legislation and NHS requirements.
• Familiar with Health Building Notes (HBN) and Health Technical Memoranda (HTM).
• Understanding of Building Regulations including Building Safety Regulator Higher Risk Buildings.
• Experience with CQC and PLACE audits.
• Ability to manage and chair compliance group meetings and risk registers.

Responsibilities

• Chair the Estates Compliance and Safety Group meetings and participate in divisional Health & Safety, Infection Prevention Control and related meetings.
• Maintain the Estates Schedule of Derogations and Estates Risk Register.
• Work with Authorising Engineers to ensure regular audits and manage action plans.
• Oversee training/documentation for AP and CP; maintain contractor competency database.
• Develop and manage PAM and ERIC annual returns as required.
• Produce and manage Estates Compliance Policy and provide training to the Estates team.
• Develop policies for design development, Permit to Work, Hazard notices and safety information.
