Job summary

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an Estates Officer to manage day-to-day operation of Trust buildings in Exeter. The role focuses on electrical safety, contractor management and delivery across multiple projects within an NHS estate.

The successful candidate will have an electrical background, strong project management skills, and a track record in facilities management. The post offers a full-time, site-based working pattern with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HNC/D minimum level qualification in construction or building services.
• Specialist electrical knowledge to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Significant relevant experience with broad survey and/or maintenance expertise.
• Experience in design, contracts, tender procedures and project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of Trust buildings within Estates Team.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and planning officers on projects.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and effective contract management.
