Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Estates Officer (Electrical) to join the Estates Management Team. You will advise on technical matters, supervise the Maintenance Team, and liaise with Trust departments to ensure maintenance and repairs are delivered smoothly with minimal impact on patient care services.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND qualification in Engineering or Building Services Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Professional knowledge in estate services management.
• AP or RP appointment by a professional body.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Estates Manager for a part of the engineering services plant and equipment within the unit.
• Ensure an effective maintenance and breakdown service for that part of the engineering services plant and equipment.
• Management of all delegated service contracts.
• Senior/Overall supervision of all team leaders, technicians and mechanical craftspersons.
• Operate Permit-to-Work systems, Hazard Notices, RAMS, Health & safety responsibilities.
