Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking an Estate Technician to join the Voids team covering the Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire areas. You will be responsible for clearing, grounds maintenance, and garden works to return properties to lettable standard promptly.

Training will be provided to ensure competence in all duties within a customer-focused environment. The role requires adaptability to changing demands, strong interpersonal and health and safety awareness, and a valid UK driving licence for company

Qualifications

• British Institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS).
• NVQ 2 in Horticulture or similar or willing to work towards.
• Pesticide Application Certificate PA1 - PA6 or willing to work towards.
• Working knowledge of caretaking, cleaning, reporting repairs, fencing and paving.
• Health and safety regulations knowledge.
• Full UK manual driving licence required for company vehicle duties.

Responsibilities

• Undertake grounds maintenance duties.
• Assist with cleaning and clearing of communal areas in Voids properties.
• Complete daily work records and maintain stock levels.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept in usable condition.
• Work with customers to resolve issues and improve services.
• Provide updates on the progress of allocated work.

Job description

We are looking for an Estate Technician to join our Voids team covering the Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire areas. For this role you will be responsible for clearing and final clearing for voids properties. This includes clearing, cutting grass, pruning and landscape works to void gardens and assisting the wider void team to enable properties are handed back to the lettable standard in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate that they are able to adapt to the demands, challenges and changes of the role whilst showing confidence to work within a customer-based environment. Appropriate and additional training will be given to the successful candidate to ensure they are competent to carry out their role. The role of Estate Technician will include:

• Undertaking grounds maintenance duties
• Assisting with general cleaning and clearing of communal areas within Voids properties
• Completing daily work records and maintaining stock levels
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
• Ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a useable condition
• Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
• Providing accurate information and updates on the progress of allocated work
• British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS)
• NVQ 2 in Horticulture or similar or willing to work towards
• Pesticide Application Certificate PA1 - PA6 or willing to work towards
• Working knowledge and experience of caretaking, general cleaning, reporting of repairs, fencing and paving
• Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
• A working knowledge of health and safety regulations
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid manual UK driving licence
