Job summary

The Best Connection in Newquay, Cornwall seeks an experienced Estate Manager for an immediate start on a temporary assignment. You will oversee multi-site maintenance, manage contractors and ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

A full UK driving licence is essential as travel between sites may be required. Responsibilities include coordinating repairs, monitoring budgets, and supporting health and safety protocols while deputising for senior management when needed.

Qualifications

• IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification (or working towards).
• Experience in estates, facilities, property or asset management.
• Good working knowledge of compliance, risk assessments and statutory inspections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance across buildings, facilities and open spaces, both planned and reactive.
• Manage contractors, monitor workmanship and ensure high safety standards.
• Ensure statutory inspections and maintenance schedules are documented and compliant.
• Support health and safety, risk assessments and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate repairs, emergency works and infrastructure improvements.
• Monitor records, logs and audit trails for property and assets.
• Assist with budget monitoring and obtaining quotes for value for money.
• Liaise with contractors, stakeholders and internal teams; deputise for senior management when needed.
