Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking an experienced Estate Manager in Newquay, Cornwall, on a temporary basis to oversee maintenance, compliance and facilities across a varied portfolio. The role requires a full UK driving licence and an ability to liaise with contractors and internal teams.

You will manage health and safety procedures, coordinate repairs, and ensure high standards of service. Immediate start available with a Monday–Friday pattern and potential extension beyond the

Qualifications

• Experience in estate, facilities or property management
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance
• Ability to manage multiple sites and prioritise workloads
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across buildings, public facilities and open spaces
• Manage contractors, monitor workmanship and ensure projects are completed safely and to a high standard
• Ensure statutory inspections, compliance checks and maintenance schedules are completed and documented
• Support health & safety procedures, risk assessments and compliance requirements
• Coordinate building repairs, emergency works and infrastructure improvement projects
• Monitor property and asset compliance records, inspection logs and audit trails
• Support public space improvements and operational estate management activities
• Liaise with contractors, stakeholders, community groups and internal departments
• Assist with budget monitoring, obtaining quotations and ensuring value for money
• Handle service-related issues and support the delivery of high-quality public services
• Deputise for senior management when required
