Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment seeks an experienced Maintenance & Fabric Operative to join the on-site team at a high-quality residential estate in South East London. The role involves day-to-day maintenance and fabric repairs across owned properties and communal areas, delivering a consistently high standard of workmanship while minimizing disruption to residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in building fabric maintenance across residential or similar environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Strong fault-finding and hands-on repair capabilities.
• Reliable, well-presented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the residential estate.
• Perform general fabric repairs in apartments and communal areas.
• Undertake minor plumbing and carpentry tasks as required.
• Carry out decorating, patch repairs and general making good after works.
• Replace fixtures and fittings and address defects promptly.
• Diagnose faults and request specialist contractor support when needed.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Ensure safe, efficient works to a high standard and customer-focused service in residents' homes.
