Job summary

Cobalt Consulting (UK) Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Operative for a prime residential development in Leeds. The role involves a mix of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across apartments and communal areas, with a strong focus on resident communication and service quality.

You will join an onsite team of four, handling essential trades such as plumbing, electrical and carpentry, while ensuring high standards of safety and presentation.

Qualifications

• General/building maintenance experience.
• Hands-on plumbing, electrical or carpentry repairs.
• Strong communication with residents.
• Proactive and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Basic IT skills for logging maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• General repairs and maintenance across apartments and communal areas.
• Carrying out basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry tasks.
• Responding to resident maintenance requests.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and regular inspections.
• Supporting fire, health & safety and emergency lighting checks.
• Completing pre-move-in checks and scheduled apartment inspections.
• Apartment turnaround and redecoration.
• Logging maintenance jobs and coordinating with contractors.
• Ensuring the building remains safe and presentable.
• Liaising with third-party contractors.
