Job summary

The Guinness Partnership in Stevenage is seeking an Estate Assistant to join the Estates Team on a full-time, permanent basis, working across Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City. You will care for gardens and communal areas and act as the on-site representative for residents and contractors.

The role emphasizes high-quality workmanship, strong customer service, and adherence to Health & Safety guidelines within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience delivering grounds maintenance across a variety of sites.
• Experience and knowledge of lawn, shrub and plant care.
• Proven experience of achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks within Health & Safety guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and without high levels of supervision.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, Including COSHH and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality gardening, grounds maintenance, and the cleaning of internal communal areas.
• Ensure all work meets the agreed standards, helping to keep outdoor spaces tidy, welcoming and well cared for.
• As the on-site representative for Guinness, build positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and contractors.
• Report responsive repairs, fly-tipping, graffiti, and any safeguarding concerns.
