Job summary

RecruitedUK is seeking an Essential Skills Tutor to deliver literacy, numeracy and digital skills in home-based and workplace settings across North Wales. You will help learners progress through Essential Skills Wales qualifications within set timescales and tailor sessions to individual needs.

You will assess progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain learner records, while traveling to meet learners and collaborating with employers to ensure quality and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Essential Skills, Functional Skills or Adult Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Experience working within work-based learning, apprenticeships or adult education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Home-based and community Essential Skills training in Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills.
• Support learners to achieve Essential Skills Wales qualifications within agreed timescales.
• Deliver one-to-one and group learning sessions tailored to individual needs.
• Register learners and conduct controlled assessments in line with awarding body requirements.
• Assess learner progress, provide feedback and maintain high achievement rates.
• Produce and maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation.
• Develop learning resources to support effective delivery.
• Build positive relationships with learners and employers to encourage engagement.
• Travel across your allocated region to meet learners in the workplace.
