Job summary

KM Recruitment is recruiting for an Essential Skills Tutor in South Wales. This full-time, permanent role involves delivering Essential Skills (Literacy, Numeracy, Digital Literacy) in a centre, with occasional travel. Salary up to £27,300 depending on skills and experience.

The role requires invigilating assessments, planning and delivering learning activities, maintaining learner records, and contributing to quality assurance and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Essential Skills qualifications.
• Energy and passion to motivate and train learners.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Confidence, tenacity and the ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of Essential Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) through group based and 1:1 sessions, ensuring all learners meet Framework requirements.
• Register and invigilate assessments in-line with awarding body standards and procedures.
• Plan, deliver, assess, and mark learning activities, contributing to standardisation and quality assurance processes.
• Maintain high standards of quality and compliance in line with internal and external quality assurance requirements.
• Accurately maintain learner records, documentation, and evidence of achievement, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
• Support the monitoring and achievement of individual, team, and organisational performance targets.
