Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking an apprentice to join the Workforce Information Systems Team for a 24-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on keeping the Electronic Staff Record accurate, producing regular workforce reports, and supporting managers with system access and queries.

The apprenticeship offers on-the-job training, ESR training, and internal support to develop data handling and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the ESR system and update the self-service hierarchy so managers can view staff data.
• Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly workforce reports.
• Extract information from ESR and related systems and provide analysis in spreadsheets/graphs.
• Support ESR system administration and password support.
• Provide telephone support to ESR self-service users and assist with recording sickness and annual leave.
